Trees that tolerate hot afternoon sun in coastal GA

I would like some suggestions for fast growing trees that can tolerate full sun, especially hot afternoon sun, and might be good for climbing (low branches). I'm new to gardening in SE GA. Our soil is somewhat sandy. I want this tree to provide some shade to our yard, but staying under 30' height. Any help is appreciated.

You might consider Wax Myrtle, Morella cerifera.
