Who has grown pears without blight?

Most pears besides the Kieffer, a hard pear, are susceptible to fireblight. Has anyone in the humid South grown Bartletts, Boscs, or Anjous without blight or minimal blight?

There is a 'Southern Bartlett' - not even descended from Bartlett, so far as I know, but fruit quality is similar.
I would suspect that those varieties you've listed would be toast in a short period of time in the hot, humid South. There are a number of good FB-resistant(not immune) varieties, including Warren(selected in MS by T.O. Warren), Tennessee, Ayers, Leona, etc.

I have a five year old Magness pare which has shown no blight. I had another pear 30' from the Magness which had blight so bad I cut it down and replaced with a Moonglow. Last year the Moonglow also showed no sign of blight. Fruit from the Magness is very good.
