| Hiya Dieter. Gardens are doing some better though not finished enough for viewing. Still wish I'd never planted oenothera (the pink version). I had to take 8" depth of soil out of a bed to get rid of them but a stray seed caught hold in another bed. Now I'm resorting to brush killer (they laugh at regular Round-Up) Too bad it's such a thug. It would be valuable on hillsides where you can't get grass to grow. Just not here. |

| Thanks for the heads up on the oenothera, I've seen it in a neighbor's bed and it looks real pretty, but I have no need for thugs. I have some of the pink yarrow in a container because it, too, is a thug that spreads rapidly. I'm thinking I made a mistake in planting the Homestead purple verbena, it is spreading pretty rapidly as well. |
