planting ostrich ferns

I am in mid to north zone 7 and have sandy soil will I need to ammend to plant the ostrich ferns, this is my first time in the forum . I hope to gain a lot of knowlege here .

If you have sandy soil, organic soil amendments are always appreciated. Depending on where you are, ostrich ferns don't always appreciate our heat. But give 'em a try and see what happens. Thelypteris kunthii is a large southern fern that would do well for you if ostrich doesn't.
