something eating okra seeds

We planted okra last week in central Alabama and something has dug up and taken or eaten the seeds. Does anyone have any ideas on what animals/birds like to eat okra seeds?

No, sorry, I have not encountered that problem (at least not that I am aware of).

Do you soak your Okra seeds in water, overnight, before planting? That is recommended to speed up germination; which might help you beat the thief.

Good luck
