Broad leafed south-central texas plant?

I've frequently come across a broad-leafed plant in Texas ranging from south of San Antonio to up into the Hill country, and probably beyond. It grows like a week anywhere where the grass hasn't been mowed for a while, and if left alone can get to 6 feet high. It has a rectangular stem. I was wondering if anyone had any information about the plant?

Like a weed, not a week. Sorry.

How broad is the leaf? Any chance you can get a picture or even scan one of the leaves in a scanner?
