| What is everyone's experience with Homestead Verbena. I know it should not be cut back before winter. But should it be cut back now to keep it blooming reliably and/or to keep it from looking so sticky and ratty?
The plant is not listed in Well-Tended Perennial Garden. ... Thanks in advance for your help! |

| It blooms on it's tips, so trimming is good. Walter Reeves says to "shovel prune" it. Just go around the edge and use your shovel to do your trimming. |
