| hi, i am in the baton rouge area and i have a bouganvillia that i just purchased about 2 weeks ago. it was loaded with beautiful purple blooms! i hung it on my back porch thinking it would get enough sun. but now it is shedding like crazy. i didn't think this was normal for a bouganvillia. i try not to water it too much like they say,but then i noticed it was kind of wilting. i watered it then it perked up, but started shedding alot of it's leaves and blooms. can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong. i will be heart broken if it dies. i hate to see a plant die. thanks a bunch |

Sometimes you think you're watering enough but once potting soil gets dry it takes often an immersion to get it properly wet. If not then the water just follows the cracks in the soil and out the bottom. Try taking it and immersing it until almost all the air bubbles stop then hang it up to drain. I do that with filtered water instead of tap water. |
