Screen planting for S. Alabama

| I was planning on using a massing of Loblolly Pine as a screen along a service yard, but the owner is concerned about the pine beetle. Can I use green giant arborvitea in Mobile, AL? What are some other large scale evergreen massing options? Thanks!! |

| I would not be worried about the pine beetles - there are plenty other of pines in the area to attract them if they are going to come. Wax myrtle is something to consider. |
