I just bought this gardenia about 4' tall in a nursery container. I had some good blooms and then it started to go down hill. No more blooms the leaves started turning yellow. So I read the post and try to do what it says. First Iput it in a bigger pot, with special container soil, added the acidic acid (for gardenias). Then did the watering every 2nd day, but still the leaves keep turning yellow and all the new bud wilted and turned rubber like. I just added a cup of corn meal like people suggested, and we will see if that works. this is my first gardenia so I'm very new to this. Please Help!

When mine start turning yellow I add the ironite to them but my leaves weren't doing what you're saying. Mine were just turning yellow.

I've never tried growing them in a container, but they do need a lot of water. If they get too dry, the buds fail to open and turn black.
