Can anyone suggest a site or possibly help with identification of a flower.
I have a somewhat invasive flower coming up in my yard that is growing in semi-shade/light sun.
Plant stalk will grow to approx. 3ft
One stalk, stems opposite of one another. Large heart shaped leaves, approx. 8 inches wide.
The plant will come out with a purplish globe or rather cluster of flowers resembling a semi-globe. When in full bloom, the flowers are pink. The cluster of star like flowers will last a few days, but the foliage is quit pretty.
Seems to had really taken off since I've increased watering in this area. Wish I had a camera to take a photo but do not.
Any site suggestions or ideas appreciated.
Esh - thank you, that was it!!! I have poured over various plant books I've had, searched internet and had forgotten how great everyone is on Gardenweb. Its been a while since I've been on the site. Thank you again.
Your County Ag Office is also a great place to start . They are on the web or you can take a branch or plant in to them and they usually can ID it on the spot . Your tax dollars at work !
