| How about a mounding shrub? Winter jasmine (Lonicera nudiflorum), dusty zenobia (Zenobia pulverulenta), slow-growing Alexandrian laurel (Danae racemosa) or showy jasmine (Jasminum floridum) that have sprawling stems that can lay atop the box while being planted 18" from it? Some of the non-invasive honeysuckles would likely work, but these are smaller, rarer species: Lonicera flava, Lonicera nitida. |
