Crape Myrtle

I would like to thank the person that recommended
BAYER ADVANCED GARDEN TREE & SHRUB INSECT CONTROL
for the terrible infestation of aphids and sooty mold on my crape myrtles. To my amazement, within just a few days the undersides of the leaves were almost clean and now the sooty mold is gone and the bushes are beginning to sprout new growth. I really appreciate the input.

RE: Crape Myrtle

If you purchase a small container of any brand horticultural oil, and apply it generously to the bare branches and trunk over the wintertime, there is a very good chance that you will not have to deal with the aphids (and the subsequent sooty mold) next year.

You can apply it to the new leaves as they emerge in the spring, as well.
