I have a beautiful gardenia, that had over 100 blooms on it in the spring, now it's blooming again. This is a first for me. but I now have 6 to 8 blooms on it and that many new buds, all on the shaded side. Is this common?

RE: Gardenia

I am not surprised since many Gardenia cultivars can bloom more than once a year. A few can continue to bloom year around. Enjoy, you are doing all the right culturing techniques for your plant. I am so happy for you!

My Chuck Hayes Gardenia is about to bloom again and should have some flowers by the weekend. The real secret for gardenias is used coffee grounds as they make them a deep green and healthy look.
