If this link is to your plant I would say that you could safely leave it outside. Might want to mulch around the pot and put in protected area. This site says hardy to zone 5, so I do not see a problem in a pot in zone 7.

BTW - in accordance with your name, do you actually grow your own hops for making beer? I am getting some hop rhizomes in spring, but not for making beer. They are a host plant for the Question Mark butterflies. I hear varying stories about growing them in full sun to growing them in partial shade. Most plants that northerners grow in full sun have to be grown in partial shade here because our sun is soooooooooo hot.
