I have about 4 daturas that I would like to overwinter. However, I don't have a sunny spot indoors for them. Is it possible to just allow them to go dormant, water minimally, and hope they will come back next spring/summer? They are all in pots. Two of them are Black Currant Swirl, one is Stramonium (hirsute foliage), and the other is a small yellow flowering dat. I will also have seed from the BCS plants, but don't know if they will come true from seed.
I had a seedling of a yellow datura, but it just sat and sat and did nothing all summer. Finally, as the temperatures are becoming more mild, it is taking off. I'd like to know if I can winter this one over inside, too.
Thank you all for your input.
