Help

I have a customer who saw several homes around ashville nc that had groupings of a yellow blooming plant.
she described it as similar to russian sage but yellow.
I have no idea what she saw but she says she was there in may if that helps
any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd guess, from your description, that she is seeing Solidago (Goldenrod), a favorite and much loved fall perennial. There are several wonderful cultivars.
