New Trees dropping leaves

I recently had planted 2 red maples, 2 dd blanchard magnolias, 2 sarah's favorite crepe myrtles and 2 willow oaks.

I was told that the maples, oaks, and crepe myrtles will lose their leaves in the fall...I am wondering if it is normal for:

  1. Both of the crepe myrtle's leaves changed colors, but one still has its leaves and the other seemed to drop its leaves all at once. Is this normal or is it a sign of trouble with the tree?

  2. The maples and oaks are not changing their leaf colors at the same time..Does this mean that one of oaks and one of the maples is sick?

  3. Do the dd blanchard magnolias lose their leaves or change color in the fall?

  4. What are the watering requirements for newly planted trees and gardens in the winter?

Any info. on the above would be appreciated as I am completely new to gardening..(if not already obvious)

Thanks,

Rouxtroux
