| When should you cut down the asparagus ferns? I have heard that they should be left alone until they die and then cut, removed, and burned to kill any asparagus beetles. But its November 9 and they are mostly still green. Any advice is appreciated, many thanks!

| I don't know about the beetles yu mention, but I always cut mine back after the cold "kills" the foliage. Mine are still green right now too. |

| If the asparagus ferns do not die off when it gets cold and does it by itself... then mow them down in February. I've never heard of burning them either. |

| i like to raise the mower a notch or two and run over them ---does a nice job----look for any stray toys or the kids balls first----once found my favorite hammer this way ----wonder how it got there ????? |
