The common soaker/Dripline problems. Which one and how?

I am creating a new garden bed in the spring and am brand new at irrigation. I am trying to hash out all the details before the planting frenzy begins.

I've got one small sq ft garden for my veggies in which I think I'll use a soaker hose. Next to (and under a fence) I'll have my new bed full with one tree, shrubs, perennials, and ground covers... All with Moderate to low water requirements.

SO! What I need help with is:
1) I have one water faucet nearby to provide water for two different types of gardens with a possible two different types of hose systems... is this even possible?

2) What brand do you recommend? Should I get a kit or try to buy separately so I don't get flooded with unnecessary pieces?

3) Will you come and put it together for me? (just kidding, unless you live in GA and are willing)

Please feel free to give me any extra advice. Thank you!
