I'm so sorry about your sister. It's never easy to say goodbye. I know of no way to make it less hurtful than to close your eyes and picture a favorite time together. I lost my sister to cancer and that's what I do.
Would you be interested in listing the plants where people can get them from you for postage? I'm interested if you have time to do this.

You could call a local nursing home. The seniors might love them.

Your local garden club might also be interested. We have a gardening column in the local paper where people can post plants available for people to come get, and there's even a business that will serve as a drop-off point so you wouldn't have to deal with it. I too am very sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. It's good of you to think of others and the plants rather than just dumping them as I'm sure many folks do, and quite understandably.

Something to think about ;- I leave plants to be given away on the driveway with a note saying "FREE" I find that by the end of the day
they are all gone.

You can join a local group of www.freecycle.org and post an offer to give them away locally. People will drive right over and get them.

Freecycle is a national organization with small groups all over the country. You can give or take anything for free. No buying, selling or trading allowed. Everything must be free without strings.

You can also post Plants for Pickup on the Plant Exchange and someone here may live near you and drop by to get them.
