Raised kidney shaped garden

I have a kidney shaped raised garden that I have planted a gojiberry bush in each end and artichokes down the center as shown in the picture. Considering the growing sizes of these plants, any suggestions concerning other plants that I might be able to grow in this space? I have tried onions and it was successful for small onions. I also tried spigierelo and that worked until the artichokes were quite large. I also planted a coupl of nastritiums that grew will before the artichokes took over.

How about radishes, lettuce (would appreciate the shade), anything that would be quick growing and not mind a bit of shade.

When I saw this picture I had to laugh,Ive had kidney problems since I was 18,I was in dialysis 9 yrs,this past Thanksgiving I was given the gift of life a new kidney.
We put a pool in, my hubby put a kidney shaped pool in .I said what??Do you think I want to be reminded everytime I get in the pool?He said its a B for our last name.I don't agree looks like a kidney to me.
I have a kidney shaped koi pond may as well have a kidney shaped garden lol oh my.

Bulldinkie - Happy that you got your kidney! My brother was on dialysis for about 10 years and finally died of heart failure after a dialysis treatment. That part of his like was not much fun. I think the kidney shape for the raise garden is attractive. Says nothing about your personal kidney, but says something to your gardening soul.

Spinach, beets, radishes, lettuce, an early turnip, tatsoi, any type of baby green and/or mesclun mix, parsley, cilantro. Might also be able to do broccoli raab or kohlrabi if harvested while young
