I don't see why not, it's still a squash and if that's what you like to eat, grow it!

Isn't part of the 3-sisters method to use squash vines to shade the ground and prevent weeds? I'm sure you can plant the bush zucchini with the others if you want to, I just wonder if there's much purpose to it?

After planting bush zucchini too close to my cukes and tomato plant last year, I'm giving the zucchini their own space next year.

GB, I'm sure one of the many benefits of the Three Sisters method is weed control. However, the reason it works is nutrient based stuff I don't pretend to know about. And since I'm sure bush zuchini is a close cousin to the vine kind, it should work fine.

With the space I have it also allows me to stagger the planting of the corn more and fit more different kinds of plants in a given space.

I guess if noone's tried it I'll just give it a go and see what happens.

Err...and report back, right? lol, we like our experiments round here. As far as weed control is concerned, I had zero problems with weeds last year. One of the nicest things about SFG imho.

If I remember at the middle to end of the season sure. Figure it might help someone in the future looking for the same answer.
