But I'd love to hear any other suggestions.

I will be doing raised mounds, ammending my natural soil instead of traditional raised beds. The cole crop bed will get a hoop house over it for spring warmth. The other beds will get IRT 100 plastic mulch to warm the soil for planting. Everything will have drip irrigation/fertigation as well(hopefully installed before summer starts!)

Only shows 7 rows because I've decided to give the broc and cauli a little more space than just 1 square to see how big of heads I can get.

Bed 2

I'll replace the peas with bush beans in the summer.

In addition to those beds I will have another 4x8 of corn that I will do a "three sisters" with pole beans and pumpkins.

Then individual areas for zucchini and squash plus watermelon/cantaloupes. Oh..and a couple potato/sweet potato bins as well. Not to mention the 4 SWCs for tomatoes.

The wifey is going to love me this summer if she thought last year was bad.

Ok..so give me the opinions. It's almost seed starting time and I'll need lots of encouragement that I've planned good! ;)

It looks awesome! It also sounds like you've found some good ways to ameliorate the costs. How does one keep the soil on mounds from eroding away?

Great work, l can tell you really planned well. Now the execution (no pun intended) can begin!

I know you'll be happy with the SWCs and bins. Sure they're a cost but they last a while.

All but the cole crops bed will have IRT 100 plastic on it, so the rainwater will just run down to the edges.

Luckily, my yard drains very well with no standing pools or rivers when we get hard rains, so I'm not worried about it. I still haven't ruled out edging the beds with boards, but it's not a priority at this point. I still have to kill the grass and get everything ready before March gets here!

Thanks! You have no idea how long I went back and forth on what to plant and when. I forgot to mention that most will be succession planted with some planted every two weeks for a staggered harvest just like the original SQ FT book shows.

The SWCs are really a no brainer for me. I shouldn't have to touch them except for picking the tomatoes. I am probably just going to reuse the ones from last year instead of going bigger.
