Hardening off plants

myfrozenlittlepond

Each year, I start most of my veggie plants indoors, harden them off in a cold frame, and then plant into my raised beds at the appropriate frost free time. This year I plan to start my plants indoors, and move them to hoop-covered raised beds a bit earlier than I dared before, since the hoop covers will provide some frost protection. My question is, do I need to harden these plants in a cold frame or will the hoop covers basically do the same thing? Can I go straight from indoors to covered raised beds? My hoop covers will be in place a few weeks before I put plants out to help warm the soil.
