Can I put two trellises in a 4x4 box?

| I'm trying to figure out how to cram more vegetables into my small garden area. I have a 4x4 box.
My trellises can go almost directly East to West.
My plan would be to put cucumbers in the back (northern most end) and tomatoes in the front.
Possibly place each trellis 6 inches from each end. (36 inches in between the two trellises.
Can this work? |

| If I am understanding you correctly, it's not the ideal setup--your cucumbers would be shaded quite a bit by the tomato plants and cukes love sun! Could you try growing the cukes in a separate container (even a pot with a bamboo teepee works) since they can be spaced closer than tomatoes, and don't always need as much climbing space? |
