So i had a great growing season with Mel's mix last year, I've turned the beds and was wondering if I have to add anything to the soil for this season? I have some unfinished compost that I dug trenches through the beds and threw in. I'm going to get a small load of Mel's mix to top up beds. thanks for any input.

Once Mel's Mix is established, adding a layer of compost to the top 2-3" of soil in each bed in spring is beneficial. Then you only need to add a couple handsful of compost to each newly dug hole when transplanting or mixed into the top couple inches of soil in a seed bed.
