| I'm buying a Victory Garden selection from a local CSA. The description says that it should fit a 4x12, but I already know that the squash will be moved to 10" or 12" pots.
Victory Garden includes: 4 heirloom tomatoes, 2 heirloom basils, 2 sweet peppers, 1 hot pepper, 3 yellow squash, 3 cucumbers, 1 eggplant, 6 marigolds, 6 lettuce plants. I have a 4x8, two 3x7, and I'm adding two 3.5x7. Obviously, I'll be planting other things -- mostly tomatoes. I'll do radishes and pole beans again and I'll try carrots again. I haven't had much luck with yellow bell peppers, but since I'll have the room, I'll give it another try. I'll probably run my cucumbers along the 7' or the 8' side. What do you think about placement? I've never grown basil, eggplant, or lettuce, so I'm pretty clueless about those. |

| This is my first year for sfg, so I don't know about placement, but i have grown all of these. Basil gets bushier than you might expect - do not underestimate teh amount of room it needs. |
