Wood for building raised beds

aboutmoni

I am planning to start a raised bed on my backyard and have been doing considerable amount of research for it.

It seems like cedar is the wood of choice for its rot resistant properties. But i have come across another option which has a much longer life: Timbersil. It is guaranteed to last 40 years. Its kinda like glass covered wood. Details here:http://www.timbersilwood.com/. The problem with it presently is its availability. I am lucky to have a dealer here in DFW.

Has anyone considered/used this material? Its cost will be close to cedar, but its life will be much longer.
