The worm dude has made claims that he's growing in 100% castings, but he's been blasted from several vermi-forums for other nonsense that he's spouted as fact which are just his experience. Scientific studies have shown that benefits are had up to 25% worm castings. As long as other finished compost is being applied to keep feeding the worms, I would expect it to be a great growing medium.

I'm going to seed my raised beds w/ handfuls of EF's and EH's from my worm bin. I'm just going to put a handful of castings,worms,cocoons at the bottom of ea tomato planting.

rj_hythloday, are you saying that through time we may have to remove some casings or add to the depth of the beds?
