New Garden Plot!

Here is the first picture of my new garden area. We built a house last year and this is the first year that I will be able to garden. We had a hydrant installed in the middle when they put in the sprinklers.

This will be a square foot garden with about 22 beds. Still planning the layout right now. You can see some of the of the layout in string in the pic. I will keep adding new aerial photos from our roof as we go.

Wow, what a great amount of space to be able to dedicate to a garden. It is going to look fantastic when finished and even better when planted.

Updated pic. Built the beds out of 8" cedar. The middle beds are 4 x 4 and the larger beds are 11 x 4. The smaller square beds next the side walk will be potato bins.

My first plan was to make 16 of the smaller 4' x 4' beds, but I changed that to 8 smaller beds and 4 11' x 4' beds. I will put trellises on the north side of the 11' x 4's. Going to add 2 more potato beds and then start to work on the drip system.

Thinking of putting a cattle panel arc going down the middle for watermelons, etc.
