Help finding book/method on layered double digging

Help! Last year I followed a square foot/intensive gardening system with spectacular results. This year I started another garden and want to use the same system but cannot find the book (Did Mom borrow it?). Can you all please help me find the title? The book was published in the last 10 years or so.

The book had three methods of preparing the garden soil; each one more labor intensive. I used the hardest method which required double digging and then adding the soil back in layers with compost, manure and fertilizers such as blood meal, bone meal, wood ash ect. The book said following this system will make an excellent layered soil and the plant roots will find the layer that they need most. The layers were something like this (I donÂt remember the exact amounts):

Add wood ash (I used green sand)

4" of dirt

4" of manure

2" of dirt

2" of compost

4" of dirt

Fertilizer (I used blood meal and bone meal)

2" of compost

4" of dirt

Etc.

This book also described all the fertilizers and manures in detail with charts. It was an excellent reference for me. The work was hard but I enjoyed it.

Thanks for all your help finding this excellent book.
