Has anyone used the prosorb crystals in their sqf gardens?

I bought some on ebay to add to my containers and thought I'd add some to Mel's mix for my sqf boxes.

No way. The MIL won some as a door prize last year and she put some in a large pot without us knowing, and I'm not sure it did anything, altho the volume loss in the large pot was much greater than the pots without...
