Square Foot Gardening

Effective windbreak

Hello! I planted my cold crops a few weeks ago and the wind is killing them fast. We get wind from the north all spring. I have 4 (8x4) beds and I would only need a wind break on 2 sides of each bed. Does anyone have any ideas and pictures? Something that won't blow over and kill the reminder of my plants that are hanging on for dear life. Thanks!

Cattle panel turned sideways with some sort of fabric on it. Anchor with t-posts or similar.

Snow/construction fencing and t post. Cheap and looks like it but can take a lot of wind. It holds up to our Minnesota blizzards and winds.

I too am facing several months of strong winds. I am considering using row covers. Hopefully they will help with the temperature fluctuations as well as protecting the plants from the wind. I am thinking that I will need to just invest in a big roll.
