While out planting potatoes today, I heard some noise a few houses down, and what did I see?? The electric company! They had a chain saw and a chipper. After much debating with myself, I finally walked down the street to ask if they had any mulch to dump(it was that, or I have to use the trailer this summer while DH is away...). They didn't have much yet, but took my address and asked where I wanted it when they come back to dump it!

I have no idea when they'll come, but the guy was really nice. He even let me know that it might not be as "pretty" as some mulch and could have pine and/or deciduous branches (or perhaps my neighbor's lilacs...), but it works and that's what he uses at his house.
