Will 1" thick cedar be thick enough for a 3' X 6' raised bed?

I already have the 1" X 8" lumber sealed with tung oil from last year and ready to go, I'm just wondering how much strength is needed on the sides or if nearly all the weight of the soil carries downward.

I'm using 4X4 cedar wood at the corner and midway on the long sides. Do you think I'll need additional support for a box this size?
