Bush beans are 9 per SF and pole are 8. I don't know the variety you speak of, but my bush beans under performed last year. So if they were to feed two adults, I would succession plant 4 to 8 squares every few weeks and as they die back.

Pole beans could probably be done in half that but you'd stop when you run out of trellis space, hehe.

Butter beans are kinda like bush beans and field peas. You're gonna want to plant 4/sqft - right down the center. I would plant no less than 20 squares. Man, those beans are good!

I am preparing four raised beds this week. I am concerned that I will plant tooo much and not be able to keep up with its growth. I spend most of my days making furniture. However I am so excited about my garden I am sure I will end up adding that extra two raised beds very quickly.

I AM LOOKING FOR A RUNNING BUTTERBEAN BECAUSE OF MY LIMITED SPACE. I HAVE HAD A WILLOW RUNNING BUTTERBEAN SEED BUT LOST IT OVER THE YEARS. PLEASE ADVISE IF THERE IS ANY RUNNING BUTTERBEANS OF ANY VARIETY THATS AVAIABLE

I live in NC and would like to plant some running butter beans. Can not find them. Does any one know where to get them ???

you can't since there are no such varieties.

Pole lima beans are known as running butter-beans.... If you do a search on them I'm sure you'll find several places where you can purchase them. :)
