Hi, this is my first post and I'm a complete newbie at gardening. I've seen some bloggers post their square foot gardens so I decided to give it a try. I know I've already made some mistakes because I like to jump in before I really know what I'm doing. But I planted lots of seeds and so far everything is going well.

Today I checked on my radishes which I planted about a month ago and look like they are growing well. But today I found something growing on the ground. I posted a picture here, http://s908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/kkalasa/garden/?action=view¤t=radishes.jpg

Can anyone tell me what this is? I tried to pick it all and got most of it off, it didn't have any roots and most of it came off in clumps. There was a lot of it around several of my plants.

I don't know anything about pest control or plant diseases. I'm just jumping in and hoping for the best. Any help would be appreciated.
