Square Foot Gardening

spacing for sugar snap peas

This is my 3rd year growing veggies in my raised sfg. Everything I've read for sugar snap peas says 9 plants per square foot. My seed pack for this year emphasized spacing every 2 inches so I planted 12 per square foot. Do you think this was a mistake? I noticed this morning that the seedlings are just started to pop up. Should I thin them down to 9 or just take my chances and see how it goes with 12? What would you do? Thanks!

I have mine planted at 9 per foot...they're about 16" tall if fully stretched out but they're taking their curly time growing and take up that full square foot so...I think 12 would be a bit dense. That's just my thought! =)
