Tomato is this normal (average) growth?

Hi,

For some reason, I am not excited about the way my tomato plant grows. After seeing others' garden picture here, I doubt that my tomato plant is doing ok?. Could you please confirm it. I doubt it is healthy. First time gardener here.

(wal mart) Burpee's Tomato  Roma  determinate plants

Indoor seeds on Feb 28. Germinated in 6 days.

As on today Apr 9 the plant has grown about 3 inches with few leaves (2-3). That is 40 days old plant.

Starting medium is 50% vermiculite + 50 % peat moss.

Started 4 plants and all of them look alike.

Please see the picture attached here.

TIA

It seems like it's searching desperately for sun...do you have them outside or under lights?

Here is a link that might be useful: The Corner Yard

    I think you are correct.

    That leads to another question:

I think these need more light too.

Yes, the fact that you didn't tell us about the light tells us it needs light.

That poor guy needs sun/light like the folks above have mentioned!!!
Replant them into tall cups filled with potting mix with something like Miracle grow. Bury the stems as deep as the cup will allow. Lose the peet pot.
After initial watering, dont water untill the cup is dry and light.

For reference, I planted the seeds for these guys on Feb 10th or 11th
