My broccoli has always done well far below freezing. It's solid as a rock in the morning and happy as a clam in the afternoons with no problems. I direct seeded some spinach, but it didn't do as well as the ones I presprouted.

Broccoli is hardy down to the low 20's. Go ahead and set those things out, you'll be fine.

Set the broccoli out and get those spinach seeds out too. I'm in zone 5 and if all goes well, my spinach is out tomorrow, if not then by Monday.

You can always just cover them if you're scared.

Lay some plastic over it and put some weight down on the sides to hold it down.
