Looks great! And your compost looks dark and rich too. I planted cauli but it isn't shaded. Not sure how well it is going to do. Guess we'll see :) :)

I did tell ya'll I cheated, right? I purchased sets for the maters, cauliflower and brussell sprouts because I was planting so late in the season for FL. I'm just hoping that, with the shade factored in, I'll still get some cauliflower and sprouts.

The fun will happen in August/Sept when I start planting my own starters for the real growing season in FL. :)

Lissa, by the looks of my seedling-to-plants, that's not cheating, it's smart! I didn't have a lot of luck starting my own this year. Peppers, yes. Marigolds, yes. Tomatoes, some good, some bad. Broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower, a disaster. I don't think I'll be starting as many of my own plants next year.

Thanks, kelli! My neighbors have all come by to chit chat because of the garden, so it's also a great conversation starter! I do enjoy sitting out there and watching the plants grow. :)

Granny, I'm hoping I'll have good luck starting seedlings, although my problem will be keeping them cool enough.

Lissa - I fully understand about looking for a little shade, since you're in Florida. There's nothing wrong with purchasing transplants, because typically they are the types that are favorable for your area. I'm really glad that your garden is doing well...
