The birds sit on mine all of the time, and you're right. They poop everywhere. I think they aim for the newes blossom on whatever plant they're targeting.

I'm getting bird poo too. I'm just considering it free fertilizer....

Funny you should post this. I noticed the same thing and I have only had my SFG setup for about a week. I don't have any plants yet, but saw glimpses of things to come when I went out to plant some seeds this morning.

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions on how to keep them off. But I will be watching this thread for some ideas.

what is annoying me about it is they are constantly bringing volunteers in... my Carrots wont germinate, but anything that comes out of a birds A#S grows like a champion!!! DANG!

Rubber snakes on the trellis will keep them away. I've successfully done it in the past, with great results.

I used to set up perches in the rose garden in an old hous, so the birds could sit there and spy the pests and fly in and eat them.
