Lining a SFG box on concrete block pad

I am new to SFG. I want to build my box right. Many post I have read indicate that no lining is necessary. I will be setting up my SFG on an existing painted concrete block pad (this was advised as the block will keep the warmth from the sun). Should I line the box with landscaping plastic and puncture for drainage? Thank you.

Are you planting vegetables? IF you are planting edibles, you should not plant on painted/treated surfaces.
