OK, first of all, here's my motivation behind this...I am not 100% sure that my soil in my raised beds is what it should be...whenever I pull out a plant or plant something new etc. It seems that the material never really has any "togetherness" it's just loose and dry and often very full of feeder type roots from whatever plants are growing and/or being pulled out.

So I'd really like to see what consistency everyone else's soil is and how it looks. In other words my stuff doesn't have any "loam" to it, it's just dry fluff. And I worry that my plants wont thrive in it. I guess I compare it to how the roots of plants in garden soil look and behave, there is something there for the roots to get into, some density to it. I hope that makes some sense. But will you indulge me? and take some pics of your soil in your SF Beds?
