Use Old Hot tub for SFG

Right on the deck I have this rather large, old, fiberglass hot tub. All the pumps and heater are shot and it would be a LOT of trouble to get rid of the thing.

Could I somehow make that top 25% of the tub into a SFG? Has anyone done this?

The tub is waist high so tending to the SFG would be easy. I'd need to build some kind of base to hold the foot deep of soil.

Any suggestions?
