Another trellis question

I am planning on growing both my cucumbers and watermelon on a trellis. I have one trellis that is 4 feet wide and 5 feet tall while the other is 4 feet wide and 6 feet tall. What do you guys (and gals) think would require a taller trellis, the cucumbers or watermelon? The cucumber varieties are: Straight 8, Armenian and a burpless, all of them vining. The watermelon varieties are Small Shining Light and Cream of Saskatchewan. Both are icebox type. Thanks ahead of time.

I would place the watermelons against the short trellis, and only let about 3-4 fruit develop on each vine. Once those fruit have set, snip off any remaining growth. You'll get better melons that way. :-)

Yup, me too EG. More room for cukes means more cukes.

Taller trellises gives you options for beans next year, or peas.
