| I didn't find out until mid April that I was getting a plot in our local community garden. I scrambled trying to figure out what I wanted to grow, bought some plants and started some seeds. Being in CO, there's really no hurry to get all the heat loving crops out til now. My hubby is deployed right now so I did most of the work myself, he was home for the last 2 weeks of May and he did help me fill the beds with garden mix and he built some covers for 2 of my beds to help keep the tomatoes and peppers warm and protected. I spent several hours getting the rest of my plants put in. I'm ready for some consistant warm weather (or at least not so cool nights). I surrounded most everything with straw to help insulate. Here's a few pics and I'll put a link to my blog if you want to check it out and see how I progressed.
