Termites in my SFG box frame

Been doing the SFG for years without the box. This year spent lots of time and money to build 2 beautiful boxes filled with Mel's Mix. Found white ants (termites) in the soil and also in new tunnels within the wooden frame. They have killed 6 corn plants and almost killed my Better Boy tomato plant.

Have treated with supposedly safe ant bait and don't see any more of these white ants. Anyone else have this problem? If so, should I continue or give up on the boxes after this growing season?

I have had occasional ants in my boxes, eliminated them and continue to use the boxes. All that work shouldn't go to waste. Have you thought of moving them if it's still a problem? Maybe others have some better ideas.
