Mel's mix for house plants?

Hi,

I need to re-pot a couple of house plants, and was wondering if it would be alright to use Mel's mix or if it would be too rich. I have some mix left over after making my SFG's, and didn't want to spend more $$$ buying potting soil if I didn't need to.
